Come weekends, many parents in Delhi NCR find themselves scanning lists and group chats for a family outing that keeps both adults and children happy. Isn’t it? We faced the same dilemma one such Saturday, and eventually zeroed in on KidZania Noida.

For families looking for an indoor, non-gaming space where children can spend an entire day meaningfully engaged, Kidzania Noida often feels like the safest option in the region.

Since our first visit, we have returned several times over the years to KidZania. The space has always felt well-run, secure, and worth the time. More importantly, the concept itself—a child-sized city where work becomes play—comes as a welcome relief during the scorching Delhi summers, when most of the Delhi NCR amusement parks lie outdoors.

Not quite. We can’t exactly pack our bags and take a break from parenting itself. Whether it’s Sunday or Monday, the role travels with us, quietly stitched into our everyday life.

And yet, our visit to KidZania Noida felt like a small, unexpected pause—one of those rare places where we could step back just a little while the child took the lead. Curious how that worked? Read on. But first, here are a few frequently asked questions about planning a visit to KidZania Noida.

What is KidZania?

KidZania is an indoor recreation and learning centre aka theme park for kids from ages 6-15 years. The indoors of KidZania Noida apart from the KidZania ventures around the world are more or less built and designed along the lines of a model city, with paved roads, workstations, and other facilities, apart from a functioning economy, with its own currency.

Where is KidZania located in Delhi NCR?

KidZania is located in the Entertainment city of Noida. The entrance to KidZania Noida is designed on the lines of an airport. Catchy and apt for kids!

Where and how to book KidZania Noida tickets?

As we entered KidZania Noida, the staff welcomed us and guided us to the ticket counters to collect our boarding passes. The entry tickets are printed like airline boarding passes, a playful touch that fits neatly with the park’s theme.

On the day of our visit, it cost us ₹2,500 for the three of us, though prices vary depending on the day and time slot.

Security arrangements at KidZania Noida

Along with the boarding passes, we were given wristwatch-shaped bands that stored each visitor’s details. These bands help track movements inside the park, as well as the points earned, spent, or saved by the children.

Each child’s band is linked to a parent’s tag, and a child cannot check out unless the matching adult tag is present. It is a simple system, but it goes a long way in making the space feel secure.

Know about KidZo – The KidZania notes

KidZania is imagined as a miniature country—a child-sized city filled with colourful buildings and self-contained activities. It even has its own newspaper, where children can try their hand at being reporters as part of the role-play.

Since the park runs on the idea of an independent country, it comes with its own currency, symbols, and local heroes.

At the start of the visit, each child is given 50 KidZos, the park’s currency, to spend or save as they move from one activity to another.

Kickstarting the tour inside KidZania Noida

Now that we have covered some of the common questions, it is time to step inside and take a look at the miniature country itself, along with the many activities waiting for the children.

Where should you begin the KidZania tour?

As you enter KidZania, you will find the Information Centre to your left. This is where you can pick up a map of the little city—something that makes navigating the place far easier.

We, however, stumbled upon the maps much later in the day, quite by accident.

A small heads-up at the ticket counter would have saved us some wandering around in the beginning. But then again, getting a little lost is sometimes part of the adventure, isn’t it?

Should children carry the currency around?

Not necessarily. Instead of holding on to their KidZos, children can open a debit card account at the Yes Bank inside the miniature city.

With the card, they are free to move around, take up different jobs, earn their KidZos, and spend them on activities without worrying about carrying cash.

There are even tiny ATMs where they can withdraw KidZos or check their balance at any time.

It is also worth noting that it is nearly impossible to try every activity in a single day—we realised this halfway through our visit. Therefore, if you plan to return, you might want to consider the Citizen Pazzport, which comes with a few added perks for repeat visits.

Get to know the KidZania activities

KidZania Noida houses nearly eighty different activities for children.

While, some help them earn KidZos, the others encourage them to spend what they have earned. I found it to be an engaging, hands-on way of introducing children to the basics of money and responsibility.

There are pizza and doughnut stations, for instance, where children can step in as employees, learn how the food is made, and then enjoy whatever they have prepared. The city partners with brands like Camlin, Kellogg’s, Shiamak Dance Academy, and several others to bring these small, work-like experiences to life.

Can parents participate in KidZania activities?

Since all the activities at KidZania Noida are for kids, parents and adults are not allowed inside workplaces. However, parents are allowed to sit and watch kids perform in the auditorium though!

Do read the information boards outside every workplace that reads out the appropriate age of the activity, number of children involved at a time, the duration of every activity and the amount of KidZos to be shelled out/earned through a KidZania activity.

What options do the parents have at KidZania?

Well, parents may stand outside the workplaces and watch their kids perform a role-play or activity, while keeping an eye on their kids, through the cameras installed.

Huge screens relay the happenings, even when the kids are inside underground tunnels, while performing activities. So fret not! 

If you want to let the kids enjoy themselves, and have some ‘me-time’, then there is ample seating available inside the KidZania country — to sit while the kids indulge in activities. Else, loiter around like I did, capturing the beautiful interiors of the Kidzania country while keeping an eye on my kiddo.

KidZania Noida, also provides a lounge for parents. This lounge is stocked with a pool-table, sofa-sets to relax, indoor games and magazines. A thoughtful arrangement for sure.

You might also want to procure the wifi password of KidZania Noida, by showing an ID proof here at the lounge.

However, on the day of our visit to KidZania, the Wifi could not be enabled on either of my devices, and the person in charge was clueless about how to make it work!

So what’s in store at KidZania Noida?

Take a look at some of the workplaces inside. KidZania really does feel like a miniature country, complete with neat little buildings, a clock tower, a police station with a tiny jail, a fire station, and even its own petrol pump.

Children can learn a few dance moves at the Shiamak Academy and then perform together on stage at the auditorium. Parents are welcome to sit in the audience and watch the show unfold.

There is even a small hospital within the city, complete with a working ambulance, adding to the sense that this child-sized world runs much like the real one.

Are there food stalls inside KidZania Noida?

There are a few eating joints inside where families can stop for lunch or a quick snack.

The prices weren’t as steep as I had expected. In fact, the highlight for us was the pizza my son proudly shared—one he had prepared himself at the Domino’s workplace inside the park.

KidZania activities for kids below +3 age

Toddlers and children under three have only a few options here, like the Dance Floor and the Pre-school area.

A blog post can only capture so much of KidZania. To really understand the concept—and the excitement it sparks—you have to see it through a child’s eyes, on the ground.

How to reach KidZania Noida by Delhi metro?

We reached KidZania Noida by taking the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro from Dwarka and getting down at Noida Sector-18 station.

The park is within walking distance from the station, but we chose to take a rickshaw—my son was keen on the ride. The driver charged us ₹40 for the short trip, which felt quite reasonable for two adults and a child.

If you are walking in, get down at Gate 11 of Entertainment City for the quickest entry into KidZania.

On the day we visited, it was open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. By closing time, we were practically pleading with our young policeman to call it a day—he was still patrolling the miniature city with great seriousness.

Parting words on KidZania Noida

KidZania’s activities are built around the idea that children learn best by doing. Through their small, everyday jobs, they slowly begin to understand the dignity of labour, the value of money, the habit of saving, and the importance of time.

What stayed with me most, however, was not just what my child learnt, but what I did. For the first time, I stepped back and let him handle his own little budget inside the park. Watching him earn, spend, and keep going from one activity to another was a quiet lesson in responsibility—for both of us.

My only reservation is that the global design of the miniature city has been replicated almost unchanged in India. A few buildings inspired by Indian architecture might have added another layer of familiarity and cultural context for children.

By the end of the day, we were happily exhausted—the kind of tiredness that follows a long day out together as a family.
